Teacher Projects:
 Judith Conrad & Ruzanna Antonyan

U.S. School: West Liberty-Salem High School
Location: West Liberty, Ohio

Armenian School: Vanadzor Secondary School #19
Location: Lori region, Vanadzor

Through this school year, I will be working with Ruzanna Antonyan, an English Language teacher, of Vanadzor School #19, Vanadzor, Armenia. Our students will be collaborating on the meaning of peace and creating friendships through online forums while planting peace gardens at their respective schools. By caring for their gardens, students will be able to compare flowers and plants to people since both need care and nourishment to thrive. A second project will involve students working together to compile a recipe book with recipes from both countries which they have prepared and photographed. Our intentions are to place the completed recipe book on the website for access by other interested persons. Both projects emphasize the importance of understanding our global community and seek to bridge our cultures.
