 Sylvia Koester & Svetlana Ohanjanyan

U.S. School: Lakeland High School LaGrange, IN

Armenian School: Yerevan School #129 Yerevan Region, Yerevan

Svetlana Ohanjanyan and Sylvia Koester are collaborating on Fall, Winter, and Spring projects with their students. The Fall Project had four components: a short story collection based on interviews of immigrants, a diary of imaginary children suffering discrimination of diverse sorts, a powerpoint of images and reflections on the consequences of war in the lives of children, and a service project benefiting orphans in America and Armenia. The Winter Project will have one component addressing issues in ecology and the second the issues of international conflict. The Spring Project will consider connections between art and poetry.
