Teacher Projects:
 Jenny Yi & Asya Torosyan

U.S. School: University Laboratory High School Urbana, IL

Armenian School: Chambarak School #2 Gegharkunik Region, Chambarak

The Chambarak School and University Laboratory High Schools are collaborating online to encourage their teenagers to engage in community service projects, research and solve community and environmental problems and exchange problem solving strategies to help each other build stronger communities. Concurrently the students are working to motivate the youth to be key contributors to their communities’ growth. Students are reporting to each other through research papers concerning pressing community issues, journaling about their experiences being involved in community service projects, and submitting more community service project ideas through the Community Service Idea Depository folder. The students in Armenia and in the US have already researched elderly care in their countries, visited elderly homes, gave care packages respectively and journaled of their experiences.
