Phil Rone teaches advanced human geography courses at a college preparatory school. Vugar Nabiyev is a military training teacher at Baku’s village school.

Phil and Vugar will create an international issues forum looking at Azerbaijani human rights protection as one of the main conditions for the possibility of Azerbaijan joining NATO. Building on this, they will then discuss the strengthening military cooperation between America and Azerbaijan. They propose studying Azerbaijan’s bid for NATO membership, cooperation with the U.S. Army in the military-technical sphere, and the two countries’ joint struggle against terrorism.
