George Van Vlaanderen engages his students in unconventional multi-week units integrating cross-curricular elements. His students recently completed a unique science unit studying obesity. Outfitting his students with pedometers, he requested PH to send pedometers to his partner school in Azerbaijan. His partner teacher and her students responded by providing their input about obesity.
