From April 15 to April 19 2002 a seminar "Prevention of negative behavior among teenagers" took place in Irkutsk. S.V. Goranskaya and Natalia Leonidovna Obermeits, captain of militia, inspector of the Petrozavodsk police department unit for prevention of crimes connected with illegal drug circulation, acted as trainers.

The seminar was based on the DOM curriculum teaching methodology. The trainers conducted ten out of the thirteen lessons on this program. Apart from this S.V. Goranskaya delivered lectures on the following topics: "Drugs: addiction and consequences", "Psychosexual development of children and adolescents" and "Healthy life-style". N.L. Obermeits talked about work experience of the Petrozavodsk police department for prevention of crimes connected with illegal drug circulation. Moreover some local specialists spoke on different issues. Thus, Y.N. Rakina, acting director of the anti AIDS center, talked about the epidemiolgical situation in Irkutsk, S.V. Belozerova, juvenile narcologist of the regional drug-abuse clinic, - about drug situation in the region, V.N. Salmin, psychotherapist of the Center for psychological support, - about the work of the center and about the drug-addicted revelation and work with them.

Roundtable "DOM program implementation citywide: experience and perspectives" showed that the program was bound to be a success and would be brought to educational institutions of Irkutsk.

	all the participants were delivered materials, including epidemiological and drug situation statistical data, trainers' biography, DOM implementation work plan sample, N.N. Prelovskaya's plan of subject matter, and also DOM book
	The participants took an active part, were very much interested and expressed a great desire to use DOM book in practice
	Among the participants there were representatives of education, law enforcement bodies, public health, NGOs, Irkutsk and Irkutsk region Administrations
	As a result of the trainers' meeting with the head of the Department on Education of the townsmen affairs Committee, Irkutsk Administration, it was decided to hand the DOM teaching curriculum "Choose life" to the Methodological Center of the Education Department to be examined for considering the opportunity of its implementation in the schools of Irkutsk
	After the seminar quite a few participants reported about having conducted some conversations on this topic with teenagers, so they began to implement DOM program
