The Department of State, from whom Project Harmony receives its funding for its Community Connections programming, requires us to account for any contributions that are financed by organizations or individuals other than the Department of State or Project Harmony. We would be very grateful if any organization or individual who has contributed time, resources or funding towards any aspect of the implementation of the Community Connections program would fill out and return to us the Cost Share and In-kind Contribution Form that can be found on the website. If you do not know the actual cost of items contributed, an estimate will be sufficient.

For example, when one of our programs met with Denise Beliveau at the Vermont World Trade Office she provided us with 4 hours of staff time, coffee and snacks plus a thick informational folder covering numerous aspects of trade and exporting practices for the Vermont State government. If your organization made similar or other contributions to this program, which might include small gifts or lunch, please include those contributions on the receipt.

Most importantly, please indicate a rate for your time, which you donated to both preparing for our delegations arrival and the actual time that you spent with them. We know all of you are very busy and that your time is very valuable, so please indicate this for us so we can give an accurate representation of Vermont's generous contributions.

The renewal of our program for future years is dependent on many factors. These factors include the successful and satisfactory completion of the scheduled programs, faithful adherence to the itemized budget, and submission of a follow-up evaluation of the program. One of the most appealing factors which we can include in future grant proposals is an itemized indication of the Vermont community's support of our professional exchange programs. These cost share and in-kind contribution forms provide solid, quantifiable examples of the ways in which the community supports our work.
