Trinity Cathedral, Pskov, is the oldest Cathedral in honor of the Holy Trinity in Russia. In 957, Princess Olga visited Pskov, and while standing on the bank of the Velikaya River, she saw 3 rays of sunlight illuminating the site where the Cathedral now stands. She understood the triple rays of light to be a sign from heaven, and ordered the Cathedral to be built and dedicated to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
