With the aim of increasing the "ripple effect" of this program, we have created an on-line opportunity for program participants to share their daily experiences and interact with people afar. The On-Line Journal is meant to serve two main audiences: students and colleagues (as well as friends and family) of the US participants; and Russian educators and students from beyond Pskov interested in following the program and communicating with participants via the Internet.
The collective journal involves daily postings of entries by the individual US participants to this web site. Students, colleagues, counterparts etc. in both the US and Russia can follow, via the collective journal, program activities, access images, take in first-hand perspectives, and respond to entries with comments and/or questions.
Special thanks to Dennis Shumakov at the Volnii Institute for helping make the On-line Journal possible. Dennis is the Pskov coordinator of Project Harmony's Internet Access and Training Program (IATP), a Russia-wide initiative aimed at opening public Internet access centers and providing the knowledge and skills necessary to use the Internet effectively.
