Project Harmony is committed to providing a thorough pre-program orientation to all participants. We believe that all participants should be as informed as possible about all aspects of the program, from travel logistics to professional development capacity, prior to travel. With participants often hailing from disparate locations throughout the U.S. and beyond, it is not always possible to conduct face-to-face orientations with participants prior to travel. Nevertheless, Project Harmony staff devotes significant time to presenting valuable information by phone, e-mail and mail. Project Harmony is currently experimenting with Internet-based orientation options, and expects to move increasingly in the direction of "virtual" pre-program interaction and information provision.
