Purpose
The Digital Futures for Palestine Consortium (DFP) is a partnership among organizations united in their commitment to actively supporting and contributing to projects aimed at achieving the goal of increasing the utilization of information communications technology (ICT) to advance educational and community development to improve the future for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. Parties to this agreement have chosen to align themselves as a team in order to bring their complementary skills and expertise to bear on achieving this goal. The DFP Consortium believes that to be successful, the process of ICT capacity-building and integration needs to be rooted in local communities, implemented in a genuine partnership with local organizations and institutions, and coordinated across local and global networks. The DFP Consortium brings to this task a unique set of organizational capacities, networks and expertise, and is rooted in a long-term dedication to Palestinian communities. The DFP Consortium will work together to develop, secure funding for and implement projects aimed at achieving this goal.

United Palestinian Appeal
Core capacities:
- 27-year history and track record of humanitarian and development assistance support to Palestinian communities
- Palestinian-American founded and managed, with strong relationship with Diaspora community leaders and members both in the US and internationally
- Ability to leverage private donor support, including Diaspora support, for projects and campaigns
- Extensive networks and partnerships with local NGOs, schools and community institutions across Palestine
- Social, cultural and political awareness and sensitivity to program design and implementation
- Dedicated local representation
Project Harmony
Core capacities:
- 20-year history and track record of designing and implementing educational, cultural and professional development training and exchange programs across Eurasia
- Project design and implementation expertise in ICT-in-education initiatives in Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan covering all phases, including infrastructure, training, content development and sustainability
- Expertise in fostering professional development networks and Communities of Practice among educators and professional communities
- Development and adaptation of models for classroom-based ICT educational programming, including online collaborative projects and civic education activities
- Teacher training and support mechanisms for online educators
- Innovative training methods and activities focused on leadership and civic participation for youth and women audiences
- Management and human resource strategies for providing regionally-based field support and coordination
- Development, training and support for customized distance learning systems, in particular to support short-term professional development-oriented learning and non-traditional learning environments
- Design and support for educational inclusion activities for special needs students through use of adaptive technologies and community outreach efforts
- Database-driven program administration and reporting systems
Kidz Online
Core capacities:
- Model for youth training youth on technology skills and digital video content creation
- Digital video-based training curricula and content available for adaptation for Arabic-speaking audiences
- Webcasting and digital video streaming services
- Development and setup of state of the art digital training centers
Connectivity Partners International
Core capacities:
- Relevant experience as the principle designers of the national ICT and e-learning strategy for Jordan which formed the basis for the Jordan Education Initiative, as well as Canada's National Connectivity and Broadband strategies, SchoolNet, Community Assess, Computer for Schools and NetCorps programs
