The Technology Ambassadors Program is an innovative technology and leadership program for Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) students currently studying in the United States. Using a variety of technologies, including weblogs and digital storytelling, students will work both online and in a Vermont workshop to create their own community development projects.

TAP will explore the benefits and uses of technology, and the role of leadership in emerging democracies. The curriculum incorporates concepts of a civil society and demonstrates how technology can be used to enhance current and future initiatives throughout Eurasia. A highlight of the program will be a 10-day workshop at Middlebury College, where participants will fly to Vermont and stay with host families.

TakingITGlobal and TAP Students Connect Online Posted: 05/09/2005 Members of the 2005 Technology Ambassadors Program participated in an online event with representatives of Taking ITGlobal on Saturday, May 7th. Taking ITGlobal is an international organization led by youth and enabled by technology. Headquarted in Toronto, Canada, with a growing worldwide presence, TIG works with global partners to build the capacity of youth for development, support youth artistic and media expression, and involve young people in global decision-making.

Project Harmony Concludes Another Successful Technology Ambassadors Program Workshop Posted: 04/06/2005 Thirty One Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) students representing 12 countries of the former Soviet Union recently completed a 10-day workshop held at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. This workshop is a component of Project Harmony?s Technology Ambassadors Program, which provides technology and leadership skills to international high school students selected for the yearlong program.
