The U.S. Department of State and Project Harmony announce an online educational event for Future Leaders EXchange (FLEX) students from
Belarus, Moldova,
Russia and Ukraine
This online event brought Mr. Mark Taplin, the Director of the Office of Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, together with current FLEX students to discuss DEMOCRACY AND ELECTIONS. The online event was facilitated by Project Harmony and sponsored by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The event took place Thursday May 13, 2004 from 6pm to 7:30pm Eastern Time.

Current FLEX students from the Republics of Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. Students were required to complete the homework assignments before the online event. Adults were encouraged to read the homework assignments as well.
