Armenia’s Education System – Recent Trends
The document is prepared by Alvard Poghosyan. Alvard graduated from the Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute, Physics Department and received a Diploma of Teacher of Physics and Astronomy. She completed Post Graduate Program in the Department of Pedagogy at the Yerevan State Pedagogical Institute in 1998. In September 2001 Alvard obtained her MA in Educational Administration from the New York University, School of Education on a Muskie Fellowship. Prior to studying in the United States, she worked in Armenian secondary schools as both an educator and an administrator. Today, she is the Education Coordinator for Project Harmony and is responsible for among other things, directing efforts to link special education schools to the internet and helping to organize the SATI.
