SATI is one of four exchange components of Armenia Connectivity 2000, a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.

About SATI


Who: 11 Armenian School Principals (grades 1-10)

What: A 21-day workshop which will show Armenian academic administrators the role of technology in American education, while giving them new tools for managing change.

     Week 1:  Orientation
  • The American education system
  • Computers as administrative tools and educational resources
  •      Week 2:  Technology Case Studies and Leadership
  • Leadership Retreat
  • Tech Tours at Chittenden South Supervisory Union
  •      Week 3:  Washington DC
  • Visits will include, the Department of State, the Armenian Embassy, the Department of Education and George Mason University

  • When: March 23-April 12, 2003

    Where: Champlain Valley, VT and Washington, DC

    Why: The goals of the School Administrators Training Initiative are:

         To provide participants with numerous case studies on how computers are used as administrative tools and educational resources in American schools.
         To show Armenian academic administrators the role of technology in American education, while giving them new leadership tools for technology planning.
         To enable participants to create technology implementation plans for their schools.
